Our very first community event was a fantastic way to welcome spring! Residents came together on a glorious afternoon filled with laughter, live music, delicious treats and family-friendly activities like mini golf and face painting.

The event was more than just fun; it was a chance for the community to connect, share their excitement about the future of Ooralea Waters, and celebrate the vibrant spirit of the neighbourhood. Home inspiration at the Display Village

Spring has also brought the opening of more homes in our Display Village, offering plenty of inspiration for families planning their future.

Gemini Homes has delivered two stunning Greenshoal 230 designs at 22 and 24 Waters Boulevard, each featuring four bedrooms, two bathrooms, a double garage and two living zones, perfect for family life. Living Homes has also opened a new display at 28 Waters Boulevard, and other builder partners, including CJ Smith Homes, Fergus and Esprit Constructions, will also be contributing to the collection, with homes opening soon!

Construction update: Community taking shape

Spring has been a busy season on-site, with significant progress across the estate. All earthworks and sewer works have now been completed, and stormwater works are expected to finish soon — another important milestone.

Stage 7 has received all council approvals, and construction is moving ahead, with roadworks and watermain installation anticipated to wrap up by the end of the year, alongside streetscape landscaping. Meanwhile, Stage 8 is set to start shortly, with land almost completely sold out! Exciting times for buyers looking to secure their place in the community.

Spring fishing: Creekside adventures

With our community fortunate to have a creek flowing right through its heart, residents have been making the most of spring’s fishing season. Barramundi are in season until the end of October, and local experts recommend the right gear and bait to catch these legendary fish.

This time of year, flathead and bream are also popular catches, making spring the perfect opportunity to wet a line and enjoy life by the water. Residents are encouraged to share their catches on Instagram @ooraleawaters for a chance to be featured in future community stories – so be sure to get some good pics next time you’re on the water!
