The home you build must follow the Ooralea Waters Design Guidelines and any restrictions on the Plan of Subdivision and Memorandum of Common Provisions (MCP). To avoid unnecessary delays, please take the time to fully understand the guidelines and follow them precisely.
You (or the owner) must submit the plans to the Ooralea Waters Approval Panel and await approval before construction begins. Please allow up to 14 days for approval. If the plans are rejected, the causes must be rectified, and the plans resubmitted.
When you receive approval, you (or the owner) can request a private building certifier registered with the Queensland Building and Construction Commission (QBCC) to apply for a Building Permit. Mackay Regional Council does not provide this service. Should you require any assistance, please contact the sales team.
